Q + A

When is the RSVP deadline?

We asked for the RSVPs to be completed on April 1st, 2025. For those who haven't RSVP'd yet, we will be closing the guest list permanently on June 1st. No additional guests will be accepted after that date. Don't hesitate to reach out to inform us of your plans ❤️

Where will the wedding take place?

The ceremony and reception will be held at Villa di Striano, in the village of Borgo San Lorenzo, about 1 hour north of Florence.

What kind of weather can we expect in September?

In Tuscany, September temperatures generally range between 20 and 25°C (68–77°F) during the day, with cooler evenings. Showers are occasional but more frequent in the early afternoon. We suggest having a light jacket or shawl on hand, especially if you’re sensitive to cooler evening temperatures.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, provided the weather is on our side.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their families will step away for a photoshoot. Guests will be invited nearby for the cocktail hour before dinner. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

What kind of food will be served?

There will be cocktails and hors d’oeuvres after the ceremony, followed by a three-course dinner. The menu isn’t finalized yet, but we aim to offer options for every taste.

I have allergies or dietary restrictions. Will there be options for me?

Absolutely! The caterer can accommodate gluten-free, lactose-free, and other dietary needs. However, it's very important to let us know your preferences, allergies, or restrictions when you RSVP or by email. No last-minute changes can be made on the wedding day.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive by 5:00 PM. The ceremony will start at 5:30 PM sharp, so punctuality is key!

How do I get to the Villa?

The villa is located in a remote area, about an hour from Florence by car. The best way in our opinion, is by train. There is a line going from Florence to Borgo San Lorenzo, with departures every hour, allowing you to arrive in 40 minutes (€5). On the day of the wedding, the train #18909 with Trenitalia leaves at 15:40 and arrives at 16:20. The plan is to have shuttles at your disposal from the train station in Borgo San Lorenzo to get to the villa (13 minutes from the station). On-site parking will also be available for people choosing to drive there.

How to I get back to Florence?

We are currently organizing transport for our guests. Since large buses cannot access the Villa, we plan on having multiple small buses / vans (7-8 people each) to get back to Florence. Departures would be between midnight and 1 AM at the latest.

What is the dress code?

See Dress Code page for details :)

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask our guests not to take photos during the ceremony so as not to interfere with the work of our professional photographer and videographer. However, we absolutely encourage you to take photos after the ceremony and share them with us! QR codes will be available throughout the venue to upload your photos to a shared album. :)

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

There will be no rehearsal dinner at the villa, but the couple is planning a casual dinner the night before or two nights before the wedding, and you will be invited.

Do you have a registry?

Your presence is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you would still like to give a gift, a monetary contribution would be greatly appreciated. A card box will be available at the venue.

Can I bring my children or a “plus one”?

The couple and their families are hoping for an intimate celebration, so the guest list is limited. We can only accommodate guests specifically named in the physical or verbal invitations. When you RSVP, you’ll be able to see who is included under your name. If you believe there’s been an error or a missing name, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Will there be an open bar?

Wine will be served during dinner — featuring our favorites from Vini Marino, as well as wine and digestifs provided by the caterer. An open bar will be available from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

What’s the best way to reach you if I have additional questions?

The best way to reach us is by email at arianeetalexentoscane@gmail.com. We’ll get back to you within a few days — don’t hesitate to reach out!
